The Obamas shop (again) at Politics and Prose

December 1, 2014 by FHC

Politics and Prose is a well-loved spot in our neighborhood to buy gifts and a little something for ourselves. The First Family seems to think so, too.

The bookstore at 5015 Connecticut had already planned a big Small Business Saturday event, with some authors (including David Baldacci, Howard Norman, Katherine Marsh and Jessica Spotswood) there to sign books. Then President Obama arrived with his daughters.

Follow these links to The New York Times, MSNBC or CBS News to find out what they purchased… unless you think you’re on their Christmas list and want to be surprised.

This is the second year the president and his daughters have promoted Small Business Saturday with a stop at Politics and Prose. One of the bookstore’s neighbors just down the street has a suggestion for the Obamas if there’s a third time.

@Politics_Prose @BarackObama come get a slice of pie at Little Red Fox next time!

Awesome! I hope they’ll come down to Bread Furst for some pastries or Acacia for pasta next time!
