The shop-local guide to treating your Valentine – or yourself

February 11, 2020 by FHC Leave a Comment

On Valentine’s Day, you can treat your loved ones and show some love for local businesses. The ones listed here, for the most part, have posted Valentine’s Day menus and specials, and we will add updates as we see them (leave tips in the comments below or email info@foresthillsconnection.com). Or check out our list of neighborhood restaurants for more ideas.

Dining

Acacia Food & Wine Bar is accepting reservations for a three-course prix fixe meal.

Sfoglina will have Valentine’s specials in addition to its all-day menu.

We’re late getting to this one, so consider this your heads-up for next year: I’m Eddie Cano gives Valentines to customers the week before Valentine’s Day week. Each Valentine offers a discount or a freebie such as dessert or a glass of prosecco. They can be redeemed during Valentine’s Day week.

Tesoro Trattoria and Pizzeria joins the prix fixe romantic dinner crowd:

And at Italian Pizza Kitchen:

Sparkling beverages and gifts

These would have been their own categories, except some local establishments can handle all of the above. One option at Calvert Woodley:

Romance is alive and well for #Valentines Day! Purchase a bottle of Ruinart Blanc de Blancs or Rosé Champagne at CW from February 10-14 and receive a two-pack of delectable Ladurée Macarons. While supplies last. #bubbly #sweets pic.twitter.com/f274Sifubz

Uptown Market has the fixings for a romantic dinner at home, plus the flowers:

Plus, Bread Furst is taking orders for sweetheart cookies and other special confections.
