The Van Ness Holiday PopUp is Dec. 13-15. Here are the vendors and activities planned

November 19, 2019 by FHC 2 Comments

The Van Ness Holiday PopUp Shop returns for three days in December. Van Ness Main Street is opening its storefront at 4340 Connecticut Avenue to some 20 local creators.

The 2019 holiday pop-up will begin with a “sip and shop” preview party on Friday, December 13th from 5:30 to 8 p.m. The sipping refers to the wine provided by Calvert Woodley. So you’re not sipping or shopping on an empty stomach, local restaurants will provide some food, too.

The pop-up returns Saturday, December 14th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Sunday, December 15th from 11 am. to 4 p.m.

On both days, kids can color and create in the Van Ness Main Street craft room. Plus, there’s holiday card making for kids and adults. Thanks to Bread Furst, there will also be gingerbread decorating for kids. Santa will be there for photos Saturday from 1 to 3 p.m. And at 2 p.m. on Sunday, The Singing Capital Chorus will be “Caroling on Connecticut.”

Get to know the vendors and learn the final schedule lineup of creators and events by following Van Ness Main Street on Facebook or following the event’s Facebook page.

Note dates are incorrect in the title and text – only the graphic has the correct dates (December 13-15).

    Looking forward to it!

We at FHC are known to be directionally-challenged. Now we can add calendar-challenged to our foibles. Thank goodness for sharp-eyed readers, and thank you!
