UDC Strategic Plan Public Hearings Next Week

UDC logoUDC is hosting three hearings next week to allow the public to weigh-in on its proposed strategic plan. The plan includes eliminating 21 bachelor’s and master’s degree programs, expanding online learning, and reducing UDC’s costs per full-time student.

The University of the District of Columbia will conduct three public hearings for the purpose of receiving feedback on the University of the District of Columbia’s proposed strategic plan, “Vision 2020: a Roadmap for Renewal, Innovation, Success and Sustainability”.

A summary of the Vision 2020 Plan and the Preliminary Report to the Board of Trustees is available for public review at udc.edu/Vision2020.

Interested parties may sign-up and register to testify at any or all of these hearings by visiting udc.edu/Vision2020 and providing their name, affiliation, email address and selecting a hearing date. In addition to providing input at the public hearings, interested parties may also submit comments at udc.edu/Vision2020 until November 8, 2013.

    I plan on testifying at Monday’s hearing about the Vision 2020 plan. I urge all interested neighbors to sign up as well.
