Thursday, January 20th at 7:30 p.m.: The first in a series of virtual conversations hosted by Cleveland Park Smart Growth on the neighborhood’s housing affordability challenges and potential solutions. It focuses on Cleveland Park’s history of exclusion and how current civic engagement practices can perpetuate exclusion in high-income neighborhoods. See the schedule for the other February and March talks at cpsmartgrowth.com/housing.

You can also watch the January 20th talk on the CP Smart Growth site or on YouTube:

Saturday, January 22nd from 10 a.m. to noon: A virtual community design workshop for the Chevy Chase Small Area Plan. The DC Office of Planning says “Your ideas will inform urban design strategies and policy recommendations that will guide future growth.” Register at publicinput.com/chevychase.

Tuesday, January 25th at 6 p.m.: A virtual workshop for homeowners considering the addition of a separate backyard dwelling or basement apartment. The Coalition for Smarter Growth and United Planning Organization are co-sponsors. Register here.
