Under Phase 2 (which started June 22): Nail salons can reopen, by appointment. Restaurants can serve customers indoors at 50 percent capacity. Museums, libraries and gyms can also reopen with capacity limits and social distancing measures.
Acacia Food & Wine is open for dinner, inside and on the patio, Tuesdays through Sundays from 3 to 10 p.m. Also, brunch is served on Sundays starting at 11 a.m. Reserve a table on OpenTable or call 202-537-1040. Acacia is also accepting takeout and delivery orders from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday. There’s a $20 minimum and a $5 fee for delivery within a two-mile radius. Bread Furst is open to shoppers from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. It is also delivering via Uber Eats. And, it is accepting online orders and payments for pickup. Bread Furst says its staff is also prepared to take phone orders for curbside pickup. And, if you prefer, “we would be happy to deliver directly. Just call us here at the bakery and any of our team would be happy to help.”
Buck’s Fishing and Camping has opened its patio to diners. Email [email protected] to reserve a spot. Buck’s is open Wednesday through Sunday. It is still taking takeout orders at 202-364-0777. Buck’s also delivers via Caviar.

Italian Pizza Kitchen, long open for takeout and delivery, has opened and expanded its outdoor seating.
Laliguras Van Ness is open for takeout and delivery.
Levine Music campuses are closed to the public. Individual lessons and summer camps are being offered online.

**** Muchas Gracias is a pop-up partnership between a former Oyamel chef, Buck’s Fishing and Camping and Comet Ping Pong. The storefront at 5029 Connecticut Avenue offers lunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and dinner from 4 to 8:45 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday. It’s all carryout or delivery except for the Reserve a “Muchas Gracias Patio Party Experience” for as many as six people. $65 per person (prepaid) covers the four- to five-course tasting menu.

Politics and Prose has reopened its doors, and continues to accept online and phone orders for pickup or delivery. The store continues to host live author talks via webcast and it is offering its classes online.

Sfoglina Van Ness is seating customers on its patio and in its dining room. The restaurant also offers curbside pickup.
Sheffield Wine & Liquors Shoppe is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
The Sugar Fox is open Friday through Sunday from 2 to 8 p.m. Its bakery is also taking limited cake and cupcake orders online. These are available for pick up at Little Red Fox pickup stations.
Susan Gage Caterers, co-owned by Forest Hills neighbors, quickly pivoted to sell meal kits and prepared meals. Through July 31st they will also cater a “backyard soiree” for a maximum eight guests.
Sushi Para is open for takeout and delivery.
Tesoro Trattoria and Pizzeria is seating customers indoors and out. Call 202-363-6100 to make a reservation. Tesoro will also deliver orders free to customers who live within a one-mile radius as well as through Grubhub, DoorDash and Uber Eats.

The UDC Van Ness farmers market is open Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. outside the UDC Student Center. Be familiar with its safety precautions before you arrive. To limit contact, most vendors are welcoming preorders.
Uptown Market is open for dinner inside and on the patio Tuesdays through Saturdays from 4:30 to 9:30 p.m. The cafe is also open from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. weekdays and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. weekends for coffee, donuts and breakfast items. Hours on the market side are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Uptown is still accepting online orders for groceries, prepared meals and even toilet paper. Orders can be picked up at the store or delivered.

Washington Photo Safari is resuming its photography instruction sessions as DC reopens. For those uncomfortable with joining a socially-distanced group, WPS is offering $24.95 private online photo critique appointments and $99 private lessons by phone. Health care workers and first responders get free safaris through August 31st.
ZIPS Dry Cleaners is open Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. ZIPS is also selling masks.
