Van Ness Main Street: “All the businesses are prepared to work with you”

March 13, 2020 by FHC Leave a Comment

An expanded Van Ness Main Street now works with businesses along the Connecticut Avenue corridor from Van Ness Street north to Nebraska Avenue. And it says, “All the businesses are prepared to work with you.”

The Main Street is distributing a “Shop Local/Dine Local Guide” to the small businesses of Van Ness and Forest Hills.

From Van Ness Main Street:

Our Van Ness and Forest Hills small businesses play a vital, irreplaceable role in our neighborhood and city. We urge you to continue to support them to ensure they keep their doors open, while all of us remain safe. Most of our small businesses offer contact-less delivery right to your home, or minimum contact pick-up. All the businesses are prepared to work with you.

For every $100 spent at a local business, $68 stays in our community. Please use this small business contact list for everything you need: groceries, meal delivery, books, puzzles, beer, wine or spirits, dessert, baked goods, meat, cheese, coffee, gifts or gift cards – and don’t forget friends that may need a pick-me-up during these trying times.

Van Ness Main Street made a a handy contact list that you can download and print. And it encourages us to follow its social media accounts for updates:
