Van Ness Main Street is joining “IllumiNATIONDC” tonight, and you can too

January 20, 2021 by FHC Leave a Comment

We can’t be there to mark the occasion in person, but tonight at 5:30 p.m., DC residents and businesses are being invited to place luminarias or lights in their windows in celebration of the presidential inauguration.

The event is called IllumiNATIONDC, and Van Ness Main Street is among those participating.

Its contribution is the “Stronger Together” message now being projected on the south wall of 4444 Connecticut, with the support of The Hastings, Bread Furst and Flagship Carwash. VNMS explains:

“As you know, VNMS expanded its borders from Van Ness Street to Nebraska Avenue this past year through our public health crisis. We doubled in size welcoming 15 new small businesses unifying the neighborhoods of Van Ness, Forest Hills and Wakefield. Our message reflects this union and so much more. We wish you all much health, joy, and success in 2021.”

Forest Hills Connection is produced by volunteers, and supported by you. We appreciate your support – financial and otherwise. Here’s how to donate.
