What’s your vision for Hearst Park?

September 9, 2014 by FHC

There’s new turf on the upper soccer field at Hearst Park. It’s the most substantial improvement at the park since the playground underwent a major renovation in 2009, and Hearst’s small rec center was spruced up in 2010.

It’s a welcome change. The previous field was more dirt (and sometimes mud) than grass.

As the Department of Parks and Recreation considers other improvements, a group of neighbors and park boosters is asking the community: What would you like to see improved and added to the park? Help shape a future Hearst Park by filling out a brief survey. One of the questions is even about a potential outdoor pool for Ward 3.

UPDATE: The survey is now closed, but you can contact Friends of Hearst Park here. The new group is also featured in the September 10th issue of The Northwest Current (PDF).
