When Worlds Collide (Literally)

October 2, 2013 by FHC

Richard Carlson, a scientist at the Carnegie Institute for Science, will give a free lecture on “The History of Earth’s Formation” tomorrow evening (Thursday, October 3rd) at 6:30 p.m. at the Institute’s building at 5241 Broad Branch Road.

Carlson is an expert on the way the earth and moon were formed by collisions of planetary matter. The lecture will last one hour, plus time for questions.

For more information on this and other upcoming lectures, visit the Carnegie Institute’s Neighborhood Lecture Series web site: carnegiescience.edu/nls. –Marjorie Rachlin
