Updating: Where to dine-in – outside – as restaurant patios reopen in and near Van Ness

The restaurant with the largest patio area in Van Ness and Forest Hills is reopening at 50 percent of its usual capacity. You must call Acacia Food & Wine at 202-537-1040 to reserve a table.

Here are some of the other area eateries announcing they are reopening for al fresco dining:

Van Ness/Forest Hills

I’m Eddie Cano’s patio is opening for appetizers and drinks, and the restaurant is encouraging customers to place dinner orders to go. You’ll find details and the reservation request form here.

Sfoglina Van Ness has a special patio menu and is accepting reservations via OpenTable.

Tesoro Trattoria & Pizzeria is open for patio dining in the evening. Call 202-363-6100 to make a reservation.

Cleveland Park

The Cleveland Park Main Street is keeping a running tally of restaurants opening for outdoor dining. They include Sababa, which has reopened its rooftop, and:

Tenleytown

Follow Tenleytown Main Street on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram for updates, including Coffee Nature and Surfside reopening their outdoor dining spaces. Plus:

Cafe of India (Thanks commenter Anna Marie!) asks that you reserve a spot by calling 202-244-1395 during business hours. You will use your mobile device to access its menu online when ordering with the server.
