Several large snowflakes have landed outside the Van Ness Metro station’s west entrance. They’re scattered all the way to 4340 Connecticut. And some are sticking to the windows of local storefronts. Unlike last Thursday’s snowfall, these won’t melt away.
Van Ness Main Street calls it “Project Snowflake.” One purpose is to help lead people from the Metro exit to the Van Ness Holiday Pop-Up Shop running for the next three weekends (Arrows will appear by Saturday). Another purpose: tie in the local shops and give even the empty storefronts a more festive flare.
