Celebrate Leonard Bernstein with Levine Music and Forest Hills Connection

January 10, 2018 by FHC

On Saturday, February 10th, gather at Levine Music with your neighbors and fellow music lovers for a celebration of Leonard Bernstein, and afterward, a reception exclusively for our Forest Hills Connection readers.

Levine Music is a nonprofit organization offering diverse programs of music instruction, events and performances – and a neighborhood treasure. The Connection is an e-magazine whose mission is to create a deeper sense of community by promoting events, interests and talents in Forest Hills, Wakefield, Van Ness and North Cleveland Park.

Come and explore the great variety of Bernstein’s musical styles in Levine Presents Bernstein Reimagined: Bridging the Gap, featuring improvisations on works from Candide, Mass, Chichester Psalms, and more.

The performers are Carlos Rodriquez (piano), Marilyn More (soprano) and Karen Johnson (flute).

The performance will be followed by a free private reception for all attendees who register with ForestHillsConnection.com. An anonymous supporter will make a monetary contribution to the Connection for each performance attendee who registers for the reception.

So we invite you to register for the reception and purchase advance tickets for $15 here, or register and then pay $20 per ticket the night of the performance.
