The Forest Hills and Chevy Chase Citizens’ Associations are pleased to present two DC candidate pre-election forums for the new elected DC attorney general and an at-large DC Council seat.
On Thursday, October 9th, the DC attorney general candidate forum will be held at the Forest Hills of DC (formerly the Methodist Home), 4901 Connecticut Avenue, NW at Fessenden Street. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., with a meet-and-greet at 7:00 p.m. The forum will begin promptly at 7:30.
As of press time, four of the five DC attorney general candidates have confirmed their participation: Lorie Masters (LorieMasters.com), Karl A. Racine (VoteKarlRacine.com), Edward “Smitty” Smith (SmittyForAG.com), and Lateefah Williams (LateefahForAG.com). No response has been received from Paul Zukerberg (VoteZukerberg.com).
Residents are encouraged to submit questions in advance. On Thursday, October 16th, the at-large DC Council candidates forum will be held at Chevy Chase Community Center, 5601 Connecticut Avenue NW (at McKinley Street). Co-sponsored by the Chevy Chase and Forest Hills Citizens Associations, confirmed candidate attendees to date are: Michael D. Brown, Wendell Felder, Calvin H. Gurley, Brian Hart, Eric J. Jones, Khalid Pitts, Kishan Putta, Elissa Silverman, Courtney R. Snowden and Robert White.
There will be a meet-and-greet that includes Chevy Chase ANC commissioner candidates at 7:00 p.m. The forum will begin promptly at 7:30. Direct questions and requests for additional information to Samantha Nolan, the president of the Chevy Chase Citizens Association at [email protected].

AG CANDIDATES TO MEET WITH CITIZENS FEDERATION
The candidates for Attorney General of the District of Columbia will meet with the DC Federation of Citizens Associations on September 23 to present their credentials and address their experience for this new elective office.
The Citizens Federation’s Assembly, which is open to the public, will be held at One Judiciary Square, 441 4th Street, NW, 11th Floor South (Room 1114) from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM.
AG candidates Lorie Masters, Edward Smitty Smith, Lateefah Williams and Paul Zukerberg will participate in the Assembly. The Citizens Federation awaits the response of one other AG candidate, Karl A. Racine.
Audience participation will follow presentations by each candidate.
Mail-in and early voting begin on Monday, October 20th. And don’t forget to vote on Election Day: Tuesday, November 4th.
