September 27, 2013

One of Forest Hills newest neighbors, the Northwest Neighbors Village, is inviting “members and friends” on a trip to the Brandywine Valley of Pennsylvania this spring. See below:

Northwest Neighbors Village members and friends are traveling on a leisurely Spring trip to Brandywine Valley, Pennsylvania and nearby Delaware, March 28-30, 2014 – you are invited.

Two museum visits are included each day. All museums have elevator facilities. Guided tours at each location. The departure is from Chevy Chase.

Downton Abbey costumesSpecial highlight: Winterthur will host Costumes of Downton Abbey® – an original exhibition of exquisite designs from the award-winning television series beginning in March. The timing is perfect for our tour. Visit www.winterthur.org/Downtonabbey for more details.

You will be visiting Longwood Gardens, Brandywine River Ruseum, Hagley Museum, Auburn Heights Mansion and Marshall Steam Museum, Winterthur and Brandywine Arts Museum. Stay two nights at the historic Hotel DuPont. Theater performance and High Tea. See delightful gardens. Tram garden tours.

Our NNV member, Benita Lubic, has made the arrangements. For the full detailed itinerary and trip application contact Benita Lubic, (202) 362-6100 or write to her at [email protected].

NNV’s deadline for RSVPs and deposits is November 30th. You can read more here about the “aging in place” services NNV provides to members in Forest Hills and the surrounding neighborhoods.
