Family fun at Peirce Mill tomorrow

June 26, 2015

The Peirce Mill grinding stone before the miller sets it in motion.

Peirce Mill will be grinding corn tomorrow just like it did almost 200 years ago. And the whole family is invited out for other “olden days” activities.

The mill will be in operation from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and during those hours, kids and grownups can try grinding wheat and make butter by hand. In addition, there are 30-minute guided tours at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. and the visitors center is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

For information on Peirce Mill’s location & hours, see nps.gov/pimi. And for as little as $25 per year you can support the education programs and renovation projects by joining the Friends of Peirce Mill. To learn visit peircemill-friends.org.
