Miner Teachers College was one of three schools that became the University of the District of Columbia. This 1939 photo is from the DC Public Library’s Joseph Owen Curtis Photograph Collection.

Curtis was a amateur photographer and historian who documented life in Southwest DC from the 1920s through the 70s.
