For years, The Custom Wardrobe dressed Washington’s classy women in handwoven and hand-knit suits, coats, jackets and dresses as well as scarfs and other accessories. Also featured were travel jackets made from Indonesian batiks and ikats as well as fabrics from around the world. Everything was hand tailored and custom made with fine silk, wool, alpaca, cotton and rayon yarns and the weaving was done locally. The finishing touch included beautiful antique buttons and trim.
