May 12, 2012

by Marianna Blagburn
Executive Director, NNV

Northwest Neighbors Village (NNV) invites the community to their Sounds of Summer jazz piano concert fundraiser, featuring local musical treasure and humorist, John Eaton, at American University’s Katzen Arts Center, Saturday, June 2, 2012, 4:00-6:00 p.m.

John’s work interprets the American musical composers such as Cole Porter, Duke Ellington, George Gershwin, Fats Waller and Hoagy Carmichael. Don’t miss out on this spectacular evening of jazz piano at its finest, accompanied by a smorgasbord of savory and sweet hors d’oeuvres from community restaurants in upper northwest.

Buy tickets on sale now at www.nwnv.org or send your check to Joan Norcutt, Ticket Chair, Northwest Neighbors Village, 5425 Western Avenue, NW, Washington, D.C. 20015 or call (202) 271-3511 for more information.

Ticket prices: NNV Members: $35; non-members:$45. This event will sell out. Buy tickets early!

Free parking for this event; all facilities are handicapped accessible.

Northwest Neighbors Village is a community-based non-profit volunteer organization that helps residents of northwest DC maintain an independent life at home as long as they can safely do so. By offering members services, educational programs, social events, and professional referrals, NNV creates a neighbor-to-neighbor network of support.
