See neighborhood favorite Singing Capital Chorus in concert on Nov. 4

October 23, 2017 by FHC

When there’s an event in Van Ness, Singing Capital Chorus is there. The men’s chorus rehearses at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. They performed at the 2016 Van Ness Art All Night and Holiday Pop-Up Shop. They also performed at one of Van Ness Main Street’s Jazz@VN events.

The Singing Capital Chorus, seen here at a June 2016 Jazz@VN event at Bread Furst.

On November 4th, we have two opportunities to see the Singing Capital Chorus perform in a more formal setting: at matinee and evening performances at American University’s Greenberg Theater (4200 Wisconsin Avenue).

The theme of this year’s “Harvest of Harmony” concert is “A Cappella Magic:”

Join the Singing Capital Capital Chorus and terrific featured artists, the Da Capo and Knock Out quartets, as we weave “MAGIC” with close harmony stylings of some of your favorite tunes in our annual Harvest of Harmony!

With this year’s theme, “A Cappella Magic,” the Singing Capital Chorus brings you family-friendly, fast paced fun with selections from Broadway, the movies, Tin Pan Alley and today’s music “scene.” The Chorus brings a fresh face to its repertoire that will have you humming along…and all the way home!

The matinee is at 3 p.m. and the evening performance begins at 7:30. Visit singingcapitalchorus.org/harvest for ticket purchase links and information.
