You’re invited: Curator-led tour of the Textile Museum’s ‘Migration’ exhibit

June 14, 2016

Our neighbor Rebecca Stevens is the co-curator of a new exhibit at DC’s Textile Museum, and she has graciously offered to personally lead a tour for Forest Hills Connection readers on Sunday, June 26th from 2 to 4 p.m.

Titled Stories of Migration: Contemporary Artists Interpret Diaspora, the exhibit at the Textile Museum (part of the George Washington University Museum at 701 21st Street NW) features 44 textile artists and the stories of the global migrant and refugee diaspora. It’s a story of our time as well as our histories.

Stevens curated this exhibit with her colleague Lee Talbot and is excited to share it with her neighbors. The tour is limited to 20 people, so reserve your place ASAP by emailing Marlene Berlin at [email protected], using “Migration” in the subject line. In return, we ask for a donation to Forest Hills Connection, to support our work bringing you the neighborhood news and community-building events.
