On Saturday, June 1, 2013 from 9:00 - 1:30 Hearst Elementary School (3950 37th St, NW) will host its Annual E-Cycle Event. The Hearst E-Cycle is an opportunity to recycle items such as computer equipment, batteries, and metal (including old appliances such as refrigerators, lawn mowers, etc), and more. There will also be a free bicycle swap (bring your old bikes and/or pick up a used bike). We are asking a $10 donation for CRT TVs and computer monitors, and…

Hearst Park is beginning a modernization process that could result in a brand new rec center - and perhaps even Ward 3's first outdoor public swimming pool. The meeting will be held at 6:30pm at Hearst Elementary School in the gym. The purpose of the meeting is to introduce the general contractor for the project and discuss project next steps. These include upgrades to the playground, showing enhanced drawings, and an update on the stormwater management remediation plan.
