New evidence reveals that Beckett was also Peirce\u2019s son; his mother was an enslaved woman named Mary Beckett. <\/p>\n<p>Friends of Peirce Mill and a Howard University PhD candidate will present their findings during an April 20th conversation at Peirce Mill, followed by a reception at Klingle Mansion, which will also be the site of an outdoor exhibit on Beckett.
