Carolinn Kuebler

As a longtime resident of Van Ness North Cooperative, I understand the importance of meeting the diverse needs of our residents. And as practicing architect with over 30-years’ experience, I am committed to promoting the livability, affordability and resiliency of our neighborhood.

Professionally, I received my architectural license from the State of Maryland in 1987. I received my B.A. in Physiological Psychology from Northwestern University and my Master of Architecture degree from Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design. As a practicing architect, I have delivered a broad range of projects in commercial and multi-family residential construction, with specialized work in health and wellness, transportation and community planning. My practice focuses on major trends in housing design and community planning, such as the impact generationally-integrated neighborhoods have on their residents’ health and wellness. Most importantly, I recognize the critical need for community engagement in city planning to ensure that our neighbors and neighborhoods will grow and thrive.

I have lived in the Forest Hills neighborhood since 1996, when my two sons, who attended our local public schools, moved to Van Ness North Coop. Since then, I have been an active member of the Coop, serving on its board from 2000 – 2006 and participating on many Coop committees such as the Landscape & Grounds Committee. I belong to Sibley Hospital Seniors Association and am connected to many of the resources that support DC seniors and their families. And as a practicing architect and member of the American Institute of Architects, I know the city and its requirements for DC buildings.

As both a neighborhood resident and architect, I believe strongly in the importance of being involved in my community. I am running to represent our ANC district because we have a great neighborhood and I am committed to keeping it a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for my family and yours. To ensure that our neighborhood remains a wonderful place to live, I will promote investments that improve the livability of our community, build strong relationships between residents and local businesses in our neighborhood, promote our neighborhood’s safety and security, and most importantly, ensure that the voices of all residents are heard. If elected, I promise to work tirelessly to be your voice in the DC government.

I believe my background and experience is the strong foundation needed to build an effective and productive tenure as your representative on the ANC. Please vote for Carolinn Kuebler for ANC 3F02. Please feel free to reach me at (202) 237-6070 or ckuebler4ANC3F02@gmail.com.
