Pat Jakopchek ran a contested write-in campaign for ANC 3F07 and won. On Election Day, I stopped by 3F07’s polling place at Edmund Burke School. Pat was easy to spot. He was greeting just about everyone walking from ANC 3F’s southernmost single member district. Pat is eager to reach out to his constituents, and he introduces himself below. – Marlene Berlin
I’m honored to have the support of my neighbors and friends as the new commissioner of ANC 3F07.
I’ve called Ward 3 home since I moved here in 2008 to begin my graduate studies at American University. My wife and I live in the southern part of Forest Hills.
I work as a political and communications consultant. My main focus is on progressive causes at the state and local level. I plan to use my experience working in local government to continue the growth of our strong, vibrant community.
My personal priorities include ensuring pedestrian safety, preserving our recreational areas and maintaining our sidewalks and roads. But most of all, I’ll focus on listening to residents and business, and acting as our voice within local government.
As I’ve often explained, I can’t know every issue just by working alone. But, by partnering with the eyes and ears of the 2,000 or so people who call our district home, we’ll make sure our government works for us.
We live in a great place and working together will only make it better. So, please share your concerns and ideas with me at [email protected] or 202.350.1780.
