City planners and developers who wanted to make Tenleytown a whites-only enclave displaced a Black middle-class community where Fort Reno Park stands today. “The Reno Community” is a program presented by Jackson-Reed High School students and Assistant Principal Marc Minsker in association with “Undesign the Redline.” They will discuss how student engagement in local history has become a catalyst for action.
