Lecture: New Views of the Moon

April 18 @ 6:30 pm

The next Carnegie Planets Neighborhood Lecture is all about the moon.

By the end of this decade, humans should once again walk on the lunar surface. Dr. Stephen Parman will review our current understanding of how the Moon formed and its evolutionary journey. We will hear about NASA’s visionary plans for lunar exploration in the coming decade, including the thrilling prospect of establishing a permanent Moon base.

The Neighborhood Lecture Series is held both in-person at the Carnegie Science Earth & Planets Laboratory (5241 Broad Branch Road) and online.

Doors open at 6pm and light refreshments are served until the lecture begins at 6:30pm. Register here to attend in person.

Or pre-register to watch online.
