Join Van Ness Main Street, Master Gardener and Master Naturalist Kathy Sykes, and local volunteers to bring some color to the corridor and the businesses along Connecticut Avenue between Van Ness Street and Nebraska Ave.
SIGN UP: Please contact Kathy directly with your available dates and along with your cell phone number in case of cancellation due to weather. She’ll provide the day’s exact planting location closer to the time. Please include ‘Pollinator Planting’ in the message line and send an email to [email protected]. Kathy will be able to confirm the location and let you know about possibly rescheduling due to weather.
When: Saturdays and Sundays on the dates below from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm in front of these local businesses:

- Nov. 11– No planting on this day

- Nov. 18–Calvert Woodley Fine Wine & Spirits-4339 Connecticut Ave.
- Nov. 19–Viet Chopsticks Restaurant, 4304 Connecticut Ave.
- Nov. 25– 4225 Connecticut Ave. (SE corner of Veazey Terrace)
Please dress in comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting a little dirty. All supplies are provided but feel free to bring gloves and your favorite gardening tools if you have them. All ages are welcome.
