Public Meeting: Soapstone Sewer Rehab

Did you know that a big DC Water construction project will happen in Soapstone Valley/Rock Creek soon that could have material impacts on the park trees?
If not, attend the meeting that ANC 3F is hosting with DC Water on Thursday, July 18, 2013 from 7:30pm until 8:30pm at the Methodist Home of DC (4901 Connecticut Ave, NW) to discuss proposed sewer rehabilitation in Soapstone Valley Park.
The agenda for the meeting is to describe the purpose and need for sewer rehabilitation in Soapstone Valley Parks, to discuss alternatives for repair of the existing sanitary sewers, and to gather feedback from the public on those alternatives.
The project is undergoing the National Environmental Policy Act and Section 106 Environmental Assessment processes. The meeting will include a 30-minute presentation followed by a 30-minute question and answer period.
