“Big News! ANC 3F will be meeting in person in October!” writes 3F chair Courtney Carlson.
Big news, indeed. ANC 3F hasn’t held an in-person meeting since February 2020. In March of that year, the Covid-19 pandemic was shutting everything down, and “out of an abundance of caution,” then-3F chair Monika Nemeth announced that month’s meeting was canceled. ANC meetings since April of that year have been fully virtual.
The ANC’s pre-pandemic meetings were also livestreamed, and that will continue. The commission asks, however, that online viewers be patient. For these commissioners – all elected during the covid era – the October 14th meeting will be their first test of the hybrid format.
The in-person meeting will be held at Forest Hills Senior Living (4901 Connecticut Avenue). The Zoom link and the 7 p.m. meeting time remain the same.
The draft agenda (below) includes last week’s ABCA hearing on Canna Art’s application for a medical cannabis retail license, The Whale Tea’s application for a liquor license, problems with the HAWK traffic signal at Connecticut and Ellicott Street, and the DC Archives-UDC site plan.

Paul says
Are we giving up tracking the apparently endless reconstruction of the underground facilities on Albemarle that keep that street closed?
FHC says
ANC 3F is still following the project, yes. But DC Water is no longer sending its reps to the meetings. The agency says the project – including the reconstruction and reopening of Albemarle – should conclude the week of Oct. 19.
