UPDATED ANC 3F May 21 agenda: Whittle/Sidwell updates; VNMS director departing; Reno Road bike lane

May 20, 2019 by FHC 1 Comment

(Edited to add the latest and greatest agenda from ANC 3F.)

Curious about the status of Sidwell Friends’ expansion plans? Or the work being done on the former Intelsat headquarters for the incoming Whittle school? Updates are on the agenda for ANC 3F’s meeting this Tuesday, May 21. The meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. and is held in the Windows Lounge at UDC’s Building 38 (here’s a map and directions).

ANC 3F is also going to express its appreciation for Theresa Cameron, who is leaving Van Ness Main Street at the end of May to become vice president of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra at Strathmore. She joined Van Ness Main Street as as executive director in January 2016, and she is leaving Van Ness in great shape with large shoes to fill. (Forest Hills Connection also appreciates Theresa Cameron and her accomplishments. More to come.)

And, DDOT is to update the community on a possible bike lane on Reno Road/34th Street between Van Ness and Rodman Streets. DDOT proposed a bike lane here in its 2014 MoveDC transportation plan.
