Everyone is invited:
Please join the Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) and the Department of General Services (DGS) for the first community design workshop for the Hearst Park and Pool project. The workshop will be held from 10 a.m. until noon, under a tent on the basketball courts overlooking Hearst Park.
DGS has said it will arrive at these meetings “empty-handed.” In other words, the community’s wants and needs will drive the initial design phase.
You can find more information about the Hearst Park project at the DGS park improvement web site.
David Jonas Bardin says
Does stormwater from Hearst Park drain to Melvin Hazen Tributary of Rock Creek, to the east? If so, what is the drop in elevation between Hearst and Melvin Hazen and what are the erosion risks? Will DGS Sustainability Team attend the community design workshop?
