Nov. 23 at 4340 Connecticut: Closing celebration for Nicole Crowder pop-up; last day of UDC farmers market

November 18, 2019 by FHC Leave a Comment

The Nicole Crowder Upholstery pop-up store at 4340 Connecticut Avenue opened with a celebration. So it’s fitting that it ends with one.

Saturday, November 23rd is the pop-up’s last day (do stop in Thursday and Friday too, from noon to 6 p.m.). On Saturday, the first 50 guests get a free mini-cupcake baked by Sweet Evelyn. Crowdery is selling her remaining inventory as well as items from St. Plant, Bethany Slater Ceramics and The Nimble Barber wood accessories. Sweet Evelyn will also be popping up inside from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on closing day.

November 23rd is also the final day for the UDC Van Ness farmers market in 2019. The market will reopen in May 2020. And it’s the last time student manager Jenn Krasilovsky will be running it. (Krasilovsky is also a Forest Hills Connection contributor.)

“Jenn has expertly managed the market for the last two years,” says Van Ness Main Street interim Executive Director Cherie Lester. “She graduates this spring and there will be a new market manager next year. We’d love people to come by and say goodbye to her.”
