Things to do in July: Search for Waldo; Rock out with the neighbors; Recycle your paint

July 14, 2017 by FHC

Consider this the “limited-time” edition of our summer things to do in the neighborhood post:

Where’s Waldo? Help Politics and Prose find him: Waldo, now 30 years old, is hiding at several area stores and eateries. Can you spot him at Little Red Fox? Bread Furst? Collect stamps to win prizes from Politics and Prose. And there’s a costume contest at the birthday party P&P is throwing for Waldo at 7 p.m. Monday, July 31st.

Forest Hills Swings: Van Ness Main Street’s next Jazz @ VN event is coming up on the 27th. Watch this space for details on where, who and when.

Michelle Muri-Sloane began work on Terra Firma in June.

Mural in the making: At a July 21st art show, Forest Hills artist Michelle Muri-Sloane debuts a mural at Preservation and Framing (4901 Wisconsin Avenue). Other large-scale pieces will also be on exhibit, along with works by fellow artists Tati Vice and Vanda Nowrozi.
