
The leaves hadn’t yet fallen from these trees at 36th and Chesapeake when we saw them on December 6th, 2017.
The calendar says December. The weather feels like early November. And as confusing as it is for us, imagine what it’s like for the trees!
The leaves on the ginkgo trees on Appleton and Cumberland Streets did not turn a brilliant yellow before they lost their leaves. Other trees are holding onto their leaves longer.

It also notes that the warmth is not expected to stay. Indeed, forecasters are saying it will definitely feel like December for at least the next two weeks.
