Hello again, everyone! Remember me? I wrote to you about how much I liked living in Forest Hills. Well, we’ve been here for over a year now and I love it more every day!
I wanted to share with you that I have tried my hand at video making! My human, Pat, has Parkinson’s Disease and is going to the 3rd World Parkinson Congress in Montreal in October. Well, the Congress has a video competition and Pat asked me to make a video telling my story about living with someone with Parkinson’s Disease. It was great fun, even though I had to let the Cat have a role! We didn’t come in the top 12 but we did get an honorable mention, so our video will be shown at the Congress – exciting eh? I expect we’d have won if the Cat hadn’t been in it, but she’d have made my life hell if I’d left her out!
So here is Patrick’s Story:
…and if you want to see the top 12 you can watch them here:
Now all I have to do is persuade Pat to take me to Montreal!
Goodbye for now, and I look forward to seeing you around the neighborhood!

Dear Patrick– You are an amazing writer, and almost as inspiring as your human, Pat! Thanks for all you’re doing to make Forest Hills a friendlier, more connected place. Love, Scout (and Mary Beth) xoxo

G’day Patrick! You are looking good in the woods. Life must be AOK in your new neighborhood. Give Sophie and Pat a nuzzle for me.

Thanks everyone for your nice comments. Beverly it was good to make your acquaintance today and to know that I was helping the course of nature – it’s a tough job but someone has to do it, and carrying those little green things around on my newly groomed coat was not very comfortable. I was really glad you gave me the opportunity to sit down for a minute. Hope to see you again soon.

Wow! Did you ever think of offering your talents to Hollywoof? I’m sure that your little movie is a helluva lot better than the junk that Hollywood is turning out these days.

Patrick…you are truly gifted. Your Mom Pat is so lucky to have you…and Sophie too. Your movie brought tears to my eyes. Your Mom is super brave to allow you to share this story with our community. By the way, I can be pretty convincing. If you want, I can talk to her about taking you to Montreal! Hope to see you soon! Laurel (Jerry’s human)
