I got to know the folks at WAMU’s Metro Connection when interviewed for a segment on Iona’s sidewalk gaps initiative. So I thought I’d let them know about another big undertaking right in WAMU’s new backyard.
I emailed them to suggest they also do a segment on an innovative stream daylighting project (bringing a stream that has been piped underground long ago back to the surface) that Steve Saari, from the District Department of the Environment, is managing. We have been following its progress, and now the whole city and beyond can hear about it at WAMU.org.
While you listen, open a slideshow of photos of the Broad Branch stream and daylighting project by clicking on any of the photos below.
