Residents of Forest Hills DC woke up to snow on Wednesday. We are used to waking up to the sound of early morning snowplows on these days, but as of 2:30 p.m. many of the streets and sidewalks remained unplowed and unshoveled.
The first plow came up 30th Street at 4:10 p.m. Terry Owens of DDOT reported there were 200 trucks out working 12-hour shifts.
A warming trend that was set to begin overnight and a forecast high of 56 today should take care of any remaining slushy streets and unshoveled sidewalks.
