Sandy Relief Centers

If your power DOES go out and you need a place to warm up… From Councilmember Mary Cheh’s Office:

Please note, the threat of Hurricane Sandy is very real and serious and has the current potential of producing a severe impact to the District of Columbia.

Councilmember Cheh would like you to know there are 5 Relief Centers that will be open and accessible to all starting at Noon, Monday, October 29, 2012.

The Ward 3 Relief Center will be located at the Guy Mason Recreation Center:

Please find below the names and addresses of the other locations in case you have family or friends you would like to share this information with. The American Red Cross has agreed to provide snacks and water for those seeking safe conditions. You are asked to contact 911 for any and all urgent or Life-Threatening Emergencies, and 311 or (202) 727-6161, the Homeland Security Emergency Management Agency (HSEMA) for non- urgent request for assistance or emergency services being offered on behalf of the city. You may also dial 311.
