Upcoming Events: Broad Branch Road Rehab And More

Public meetings, hearings and announcements of interest to ANC 3F and the surrounding neighborhoods in the next few weeks:

Today:

  • Pepco undergrounding: Council members McDuffie and Evans are chairing a joint hearing at 11:00 a.m. The council is also taking written statements until November 5th. See details (PDF).
  • Broad Branch Road reconstruction: The environmental assessment is scheduled for release today, and is to be followed by a public meeting two weeks later. Here is the project’s web site.

    This week and next:

  • moveDC final public meetings: Help shape DDOT’s 25-year transportation plan at public meetings and events being held today through October 30th.
     
    November:

  • Office of Planning Zoning Rewrite: Zoning Commission hearings November 4-7 and 12-14. Primary interest area is parking minimums, which are to be considered on November 12th.
  • Cleveland Park Transportation Study: DDOT’s third and final workshop is Wednesday, November 6th. The service lane has been getting the most attention.
  • Tenleytown vision: Tenleytown is doing some visioning, just as Van Ness has been. Participate with residents and those from surrounding neighborhoods in a visioning workshop sponsored by Ward3Vision on November 9th from 9 a.m. to 12 noon.

    November 19th ANC 3F meeting:

  • Forest Hills Playground redesign: Report by DC Department of Parks and Recreation on the final design.
  • Soapstone sewers: DC Water presentation on the rehabilitation project.
