Our DC councilmember, Mary Cheh, has come through for Ward 3 in the 2012 Fiscal Budget, passed in June. Check out her June update on funding for the expansion of Deal Middle School, modernization of Hearst and Murch Elementary Schools, and improving the Forest Hills tennis courts. We will also be seeing more money for improving sidewalks, curbs and alleys.

If you are interested what she is doing to improve taxi service, check out the taxi legislation that Mary is trying to push through the Council. For those of us concerned about maintaining and growing our tree canopy, find out how to adopt a tree.
