‘Aging Well’ Workshops Begin Tuesday

Most of us hate to think of ourselves getting older and often put off the planning we should be doing for our later years. Iona is making it easy for us to start this process. Check out these workshops. – Marlene Berlin

Take Charge/Age Well 101

Starting Tuesday, October 1, 2013

Meeting every other week through December 17
4:00 – 5:30 pm

Fee: $100 for the series. (Scholarships are available.)
Participants are encouraged to attend all seven sessions.

A facilitated workshop series that encourages informed life choices.

The Take Charge/Age Well 101 workshop series is designed for retirees (or those planning their retirement) who are eager to remain active, engaged, and connected.

Participants will learn from Iona’s aging-in-place specialists how to navigate the opportunities and challenges of aging through presentations that offer expert advice, wellness coaching, guidance on critical decision-making, and planning for the future.

Each session will include conversation and personalized check-ins.

Workshop topics include:

  • Meaningful Choices in Retirement
  • Community Resources for Aging in Place
  • Brain and Memory Fitness and Emotional Wellness
  • Aging in Place, Housing, and Long-Term Care Options
  • Navigating Changing Relationships
  • Wellness to Enhance Life
  • Estate and Financial Planning
  •
